Autodesk Forma is rolling out a new backend service for the Data Management Reviews tool. As part of this transition, any reviews created under the previous service will have limited functionality after the changeover period and must be closed by April 30, 2026. This is part of the broader Autodesk Construction Cloud rebrand to Autodesk Forma, which took effect March 24, 2026, and represents an infrastructure upgrade — not a change to how reviews look or function going forward.
It is important to note that this transition only affects workflows that use the Data Management Reviews tool — on this project, that includes WSWD and Certified Payroll review workflows. Submittals and RFIs are entirely separate tools within Forma Build and are not impacted by this update in any way. If your work is limited to Submittals or RFIs, no action is required.
To see which reviews are impacted, use the “View Impacted Reviews” button in the Reviews module banner (shown in the screenshot above). You can filter by status — such as Open or Open Waiting for Initiation — to quickly locate and close any outstanding reviews before the deadline. Please plan to address these before April 30 to ensure no disruption to your team’s document approval workflows. Reach out with any questions.
