2. E-Construction Onboarding for New Projects
For ACC, projects should be created by the design project manager and be handed off to the construction project manager/engineer at the beginning of the construction phase. If at the construction phase there has not been a project created yet, you can still follow this step-by-step guide to create it in ACC. For any members that need to be added/removed, have them contact the PM/PE to be added.
For HeadLight, new projects should be requested through HeadLight’s project intake form here. To add/remove members to a project, send an email to support@headlight.com with your name, email address, role, and project that you want to be added to. Be sure to CC the PM/PE on the email request.
For HaulHub, new projects in EDOT should be requested through the project creation form here. You should also remind the prime Contractor on your job that they need to create the project in their portal. In addition to that, the Contractor should have the supplier reach out to alex.richardson@haulhub.com to get onboarded to Haulhub’s supplier system (if not already onboarded). All projects must be using Haulhub to track material tickets.
REMINDER: Please reach out to the e-construction support email (econ@qrse.com) if live onboarding training is needed for a specific project.

5. HeadLight Updates
Progress Payments and Change Orders
HeadLight recently provided training on progress payments and change orders. See below for guides from both the HDOT Project Team and Contractor point of view:
- HDOT Team Progress Payment and Change Order Guide
- Progress Payment and Change Order Guide for Contractors
To provide feedback on either of these two newer tools, please reach out to econ@qrse.com.
There are a few places you can tell who has signed your Progress Payments so far and who can sign it next. First you can find the payments on your project by going to the Forms tab in Fieldbook and searching to payment or progress payment. Here you should be able to see the current Status and under Status Info see what role needs to sign next.

If you click into the Payment, under Form Details, you can click the history tab to see the steps of who created the document, any approvals that have happened, and any comments that may have been added.

Under the Actionable Users tab you can see any users that can currently take action on the document.
Similarly, you can find your progress payments at home.headlight.com and then navigate to the Payment Forms dashboard (Contractors can only access Progress Payments here). Here you should be able to filter by project, status, or date to find what you are looking for. From here you can click the Details button to see more information about that document.

In the middle of the details tab you can see the History of approvals, rejections, and comments. On the right side you can see the actionable users and any Available Actions that you are able to make.

For help changing any of the approval roles on your project please contact support@headlight.com
6. HDOT Wiki Updates
As some of you have noticed, the HDOT Wiki Site looks different. We have been working in the background to improve the functionality of the site. This overhaul does require everyone with an existing account to re-register onto the new site.
As a security measure, the registration page requires a password to access. To request the password, please email econ@qrse.com with a message containing your name, company, and role from the following:
- Project Engineer
- Inspector
- Surveyor
- Planning
- Design
- Contractor
- O&M
- Resident Engineer / Construction Manager
If you aren’t sure which role you are, you can pick multiple roles that apply to you. After we confirm your request, we will send you the password to use here: https://hdot.wiki/register/
After entering the password, follow the prompts and enter your information. We will then approve your account and you will have access.
Stay tuned for more details in the upcoming newsletter!
