1. Recent Trainings/Office Hours
Find all of the latest training recordings and slide decks here:
If you are not invited to the office hours meeting invite for the above trainings, please reach out to econ@qrse.com.
Are there any specific topics you’d like to focus on more during office hours? If so, please fill out the form here!
2. E-Construction Onboarding for New Projects
For Autodesk Forma, projects should be created by the construction project manager/engineer at the beginning of the construction phase. If at the construction phase there has not been a project created yet, you can still follow the wiki post for Project Setup to create it in Autodesk Forma. For any members that need to be added/removed, have them contact the PM/PE to be added.
REMINDER: Assigning the correct roles in Autodesk Forma is an essential part of project setup. Please take a moment to confirm that members have the appropriate roles and that access permissions have been assigned correctly by project administrators.
For HeadLight, new projects should be requested through HeadLight’s project intake form here. To add/remove members to a project, send an email to support@headlight.com with your name, email address, role, and project that you want to be added to. Be sure to CC the PM/PE on the email request.
For HaulHub, new projects in E-DOT should be requested through the project creation form here. You should also remind the prime Contractor on your job that they need to create the project in their portal. In addition to that, the Contractor should have the supplier reach out to alex.richardson@haulhub.com to get onboarded to Haulhub’s supplier system (if not already onboarded). All projects must be using E-DOT to track material tickets.
Please reach out to the e-construction support email (econ@qrse.com) if live onboarding training is needed for a specific project.
3. BABA Refresher
Build America, Buy America Compliance Reminder: DMP Forms
HDOT reminds all project staff and contractors that Domestic Material Procurement (DMP) Forms must be completed and maintained for all applicable materials to demonstrate compliance with Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements.
Because BABA is a condition of federal funding, projects must be able to verify that covered materials are produced in the United States. Failure to provide this documentation may affect funding eligibility.
What You Need to Do Now
- Complete DMP Forms accurately and on time
- Confirm that materials are properly classified as steel/iron, manufactured products, or construction materials
- Maintain required records to support each submission
For more information on BABA requirements and documentation procedures, please refer to the BABA Wiki Post:
Looking Ahead: Increased Documentation Requirements
As use of DMP Forms expands across projects, HDOT will begin requiring supporting documentation to accompany DMP submissions. This documentation will include:
- Material certifications and country-of-origin documentation
- Manufacturer and supplier attestations
These requirements are intended to ensure that every project maintains a complete, auditable record of compliance, which is essential to protecting federal funding and avoiding delays or corrective actions.
Key Takeaway
If it is not documented, it is not compliant.
Timely, accurate, and complete DMP Form submissions, along with supporting documentation, will be essential moving forward.
4. Autodesk Forma Updates
Autodesk continues to roll out major updates across the Forma platform, including several important rebranding changes. Autodesk Construction Cloud is now Autodesk Forma, Autodesk Docs is now Forma Data Management, and Accounts/Account Admin are now called Hubs/Hub Admin. The Autodesk Construction Cloud mobile app has also been renamed the Forma mobile app.
- Autodesk Construction Cloud is now Autodesk Forma, with related naming updates across the platform.
- Forma Board is now included, giving teams a BIM-connected space for visual collaboration and review.
Autodesk also introduced several improvements to data management, project workflows, and field collaboration. These updates help teams manage files more efficiently, strengthen issue tracking, and improve field usability across web and mobile. Key additions include centralized AutoCAD support files, new dataset capabilities for connected workflows, better markup and issue tools, and expanded features in Forma Build such as RFI enhancements, specification tools, forms improvements, and an upgraded photo experience for new projects.
- Issue and markup tools were improved with persistent markups, copy/paste, quick issue creation, and better measurement tools.
- Forma Build added stronger workflow tools for RFIs, specifications, forms, photos, and mobile field use.
Autodesk also expanded Insight, reporting, and analytics capabilities to help teams better understand project performance. The Autodesk Assistant Project Data agent is exiting beta, estimate data is now available in Insight Builder, and dashboards can now be shared directly to project home pages.
- The Autodesk Assistant Project Data agent is exiting beta to provide smarter project data insights.
- Insight Builder now includes estimate data and dashboard sharing to project home pages.

📣 Your Voice Matters
Have questions or suggestions? Want to highlight a win or challenge? We’re all ears! Drop us a line or join our next feedback session.
We can’t do this without you!
Team, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible progress you’ve made. Just a few weeks ago, we were at 40% of e-Tickets inspected, and today we’re sitting at 91.78%. That kind of progress doesn’t happen by chance; it’s the direct result of your focus, follow-through, and commitment to keeping our projects moving forward. Thank you for taking the time to make the updates and ensure the data reflects the work happening in the field. This milestone simply wouldn’t have been possible without your effort. We’re now within reach of our 95% goal, and with the momentum you’ve created, I’m confident we’ll get there. Let’s keep pushing!
Mahalo for being part of the e-Ticketing ‘ohana.
6. HeadLight Updates
Update to Progress Payments: Progress payments will not allow the document to be approved if it has an overrun larger than the allowed 15%. We have made an update to allow a payment to be processed, if there is an overrun unrelated to any of the pay items included in that payment. We ran into a situation where a Change Order lowered the authorized quantity of a pay item, pushing the already paid amount over the allowed overrun threshold.
Recent update to Fast Capture app (iPhone) – version 1.10.b5
Project Files Management – Fast Capture now brings full Project Files support to iPhone users in the field, enabling users to navigate, search, view, and manage project files and folders directly from their devices. This is the first version of Fast Capture to include project file capabilities, providing a complete field-ready experience.
Implemented Capabilities
- Create, rename, or move files and folders
- Move items between folders or to the project root
- Prevent duplicate file or folder names with clear messaging
- Media files load efficiently, even in large projects
Smarter Handling of Locked & Deleted Observations
Fast Capture now provides clearer feedback and better controls when an observation can’t be saved because it was locked or deleted on the server.
